I grew up in Virginia Beach, where I taught aquarium visitors about the impacts of climate change on marine habitats and life. After moving away, I started rock climbing and I continued to care deeply about fighting climate change, seeing it from a different angle.

I’ve volunteered with non-profits working to protect the natural world and I’ve worked at tech startups with the same goal. We won’t move the needle unless we all work together. To do that, we need to be speaking the same language.

My engineering background, climate tech knowledge, and product strategy experience have helped me bridge the communication gap and get everyone speaking the same language on the teams I have been part of.

That’s why I started Root to Earth. I want to continue fighting climate change with my systems thinking, data driven, product mindset. I think early stage startups are more creative and agile than large companies and are poised to be an important lever in the fight against climate change.
